Good evening everyone. Yeah, it's time for a new and traditional Not-So-Private Thoughts. First of all, I have granted permission to the website Shootjunkies.com to reprint this N-S-P Thoughts for their site. As long as it is printed word-for-word, I have no problem with this. As we have seen recently, people twisting my words around pisses me the **** off. Now to my topic tonight, Evan Da Malice, THE MYTH.
By this, I do not mean that he is not a real person. But I would love to buy him for what he's worth and sell him for what he thinks he's worth. I'd be a rich man. Let's face it, the man is a legend in his own mind. He thinks that he is the best thing in pro wrestling and he is far from it. Without a huge support system underneath him, not a fat joke, he would be NOTHING! I will admit he does possess wrestling talent, but he has to feed on others to make it in this business. He would not have even won his first match in the DWA without my help. In the past year, he had to force his way into matches against Double J Enterprise members or team with WWE Legends or men with the status of Vic the Bruiser to make himself look better. There was no need for him to come out in December with Marty Jannetty and corner me, only to cover me with cupcakes. Only did this to try to get over with the fans. Because he can't get over with the fans on his own. Has to surround himself with the truly popular wrestlers in this business (Demolition, Rikishi or Hacksaw Duggan) or oppose the most hated (The Colonel, Brett Michaels or Shomari). He is only worried about how he looks to the people out there and does nothing to help those who actually need it. If there was ever a larger hog of the spotlight, I haven't seen him. Maybe they're under his front butt. But hey, that's just what I'm thinking. Until then, I'm the Colonel and I love this extended schedule that those in the DWA said I couldn't handle. Got 8 shows next month alone, ha ha. Until then, I am at the top of the food chain and you all are what my food leaves in the tall grass. And if you're not down with that, I got 3 words for you . . . . . . LIVE WITH IT!!!!!!!

Well, the inaugural Legends of the Squared Circle event is in the books and it was a very successful night. The fans walked away happy and their bellies were full of the wares of The Cupcake Ladies. But the main reason they were there: TNA Superstar SHARKBOY!!!
The night started off with LSC owner Mr. Jenkins wanting his "boys" introduced; The Mountain Men. On their shoulders were the LSC Tag straps. They left them at ringside and the card began. Match 1 was the first of the semi-final matches for the straps and featured the team of Brutally Handsome (Brutal Bellman & "Handsome" Donny Redd) taking on the Smokin' Aces (Zakk Spades & AJB). The experience and the brawling of Brutally Handsome overcame the youth and flying of the Aces to advance to the finals. This was one of the best matches of the night.
Next was a 3-way dance with the winner earning a spot in the Fatal 4-Way match for the LSC HWT title next month. The combatants were Lil C, Jason Kimera and the popular J-Roc. There wasn't anything spectacular about the match, but didn't put you to sleep either. J-Roc got the win to earn the spot.
The second semi-final match was next and featured the team of Gee Gee and C-Dub, otherwise known as Punk Rock Rebellion and the new team of Mike "The Moose" Musso and The S.I. (Moose Intrusion) led by Lincoln Alexander Black. For much of the match, the strength and size of "The Moose" offset the acrobatic ability of PRR, Things broke down between S.I. and Musso when a foreign object came into play. S.I. refused to use it and that refusal led to his teams defeat. After the match, Musso Pearl Harbored S.I. and left him laying in the ring.
Next up was the match-up between "The Sarge" and TNA Superstar SHARKBOY. I do need to mention that Ledbetter was accompanied to the ring by a guy who resembled a male version of Chyna. Ledbetter was able to ground the flying (or swimming) Sharkboy for a good portion of the match, though Sharkboy thrilled the crowd with his athleticism. But in the end it was Sharkboy picking up the win. After the match, Mr. Jenkins had a surprise for Sharkboy and had a young fan celebrating a birthday come to the ring.
After intermission, making their debut was the Fugly family. Fugly, no kidding. Haystacks and MoonDog. Wow. They came out and danced in the ring and waited for MoonDog's opponent and Mr. Jenkins came out with The Mountain Men in tow who entered the ring and basically destroyed the newcomer.
After they left, Scary Garry and the Life Power Church came to the ring and laid down a challenge that was met by Canadian wrestler, Corvis. Corvis faced LPC member Todd Mullins and defeated him, much to the chagrin of Scary Garry and whatever that was that was out there too. This wasn't a bad match, but not great either.
The next match featured one of the better young talents in SW Ohio today in "Die Hard" Tom McClane. He took on newcomer Jack Verville, defeating him and proving his worth within the company. This was a very good match as both competitors kept the crowd interested.Keep an eye on McClane, He could be on top of any promotion soon.
This brings us to the Main Event which was also the LSC Tag Team title match. Brutally Handsome faced off against Punk Rock Rebellion. This match went back and forth as the ruthless Brutally Handsome did everything they could to ground the high-flying PRR. And it was the underhanded tricks of BH that got them the victory and the Tag Team championships. After the bell, they continued the beatdown on the Rebellion until the Smokin' Aces hit the ring to make the save. PRR took exception to this and these two teams began to brawl and BH got involved and it was total chaos til word came from the back that on July 23rd at LSC: GoldRush, Brutally Handsome will defend the titles in a Triple threat match against Punk Rock Rebellion AND the Smokin' Aces.

I have seen and heard where the blog I posted the other night has stirred up a lot of praise as well as shit. Let me show you my sign that says I don't give a f*ck if my opinion pisses you off. That's what I get paid (?) to do. People who know this business, live this business, breathe this damn business and ARE this f*cking business agree with everything I said. They know why we do what we do for this business. They know WHO this business is meant for! For every ham & egger, every window-licking short bus rider, for every blue collar 9 to 5er who busts his ass in the fields, the factories and highways and byways of this great nation just so every Saturday night he can plop down his five, six, eight or ten buck (price might be higher in Alaska or Hawaii) just so he can lose himself in the lunacy that is PRO WRESTLING! And if he is denied that fun, he will go to where he can get it.
Wrestlers are the same way. There is a reason we do this and when we are denied, we get upset. Yeah, if I am geared up for a show and it gets canceled, you know damn well I'm gonna get pissed. It a canceled show doesn't piss me off, it means I don't give a sh*t if I work or not and if I don't give a sh*t if i work or not then I DON'T BELONG HERE!!! Every time one of our shows were canceled, yeah, I was pissed. Wrestling and THE SHOW is in my blood!
Okay, enough of that. A matter was brought to my attention about a particular "fan page" from a former employer of mine. On their page, they had an article about my retirement and coming back to the business. Believe me, I was ready to walk away, but as any true worker will tell you, YOU CANNOT WALK AWAY FROM THE BUSINESS!!! But the person who wrote this piece of garbage only wrote what he wanted the story to be and not the f*cking truth. I posted on the main page my reasons for leaving that promotion (and why I needed the time off). But they decided to write it their way, which was wrong. They made it sound as if I had lost confidence in my abilities and my age when in truth I NEVER doubted myself, THEY DID! They say I left because another promoter purchased the promotion. I decided to leave long before THAT announcement, it was the new ownership angle from last year I did not agree with. And that fell apart every way it could. Yes, I am battling some personal demons and there are some health issues I need to take care of if I want to return to the ring like I want to. They said I felt i wasn't up to a "bigger" schedule and greater exposure. Right now, two show a month would be a bigger schedule for them. Hell, its May and they have only ran two shows all f*cking year. Exposure? In my prime, yeah I hear the snickers, I wrestled in front of 300-500 people on a regular basis. The NGA in Ashland,KY will always be my favorite building. And the text I received at 5am today telling me I was reading too much into it. F*CK YOU! You only highlighted what YOU wanted to see and that was not the truth! If you are not gonna tell the truth, don't print anything.
And I'm done for the night. I am who I am and I don't really care who you are! Oh, three words.....LIVE WITH IT!!!!!

A lot has been stirred up these past couple days because of a promotions decision to cancel an event due to the sickness of a family member of the promoter. Another promoter in that area said that it was no reason to cancel a show, that "THE SHOW MUST GO ON!" That has been the creed of our business for years and I agree with him. A wrestling show should not be canceled for reasons such as this. And I realize that I will draw alot of heat for this. Oh, well.Only under an extreme circumstance should an event be canceled. Lack of fans, the weather, illness. These are not reasons for canceling a show. Like I stated, wrestling fans are fickle and a promoter does not want to alienate his(or her) fans for any reason. The promoter said they were only pushing it back 2 weeks. Okay, what if the illness is prolonged? Would you postpone it again? And again and again if the person's health does not improve? I'm sure you are calling me an insensitive prick right about now. So be it, but am I right? McMahon can get away with this because he has a product that is in demand by 100s of millions of people WORLDWIDE! But a small promotion cannot afford that luxury. One promoter I worked for a few years ago ran a show while it was snowing and 3" of it on the ground. I asked him if he was going to cancel the show. He said that if he canceled it, people would think that anytime it were to snow the day of a show, they would think that one too would be canceled and not attend. He said even if only 5 people showed up, THE SHOW WOULD GO ON! DWA founder Johnny Diamond has spent most of 2011 either in the hospital or a nursing home. He would not want shows canceled because of this and did not cancel because of that. THE SHOW WENT ON! Unless there is impending doom, you do not cancel a show. Now for reasons unknown to me, the DWA has canceled shows and has went periods of time without putting on shows which was one of my reasons for leaving. I want to work a normal schedule and going 2-3 months without working does not agree with me. Plus I felt I was not treated right and those I work for now knew it. But enough about me.
A note to all promoters: WE ARE IN THIS BUSINESS FOR THE FANS AND THAT IS WHO WE ARE TO THINK ABOUT WHEN DOING SHOWS. AND IF KEEPING YOUR FANS HAPPY IS NOT #1 ON YOUR AGENDA.....LEAVE THE BUSINESS TO THOSE THAT DO! And until next time remember that I am at the top of the food chain while most of you are what my food leaves on the ground. and if you're not down with that, I got 3 words for you

As everyone around the world has by now heard, Osama bin Laden has been killed by U.S. Navy SEALs. This brings the end of an almost 10 year search for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks on the United States of America. It is a day that most of the world has rejoiced. The man who has been considered the cause of more chaos across the globe than anyone else in our history is now dead. At least for now, the Earth is able to breathe easily. But what does this have to do with the title of this blog?
This is an occasion that most will consider to be our truly country's celebratory moment of our generation. I will consider it mine at least. And it comes at a time when this great nation is at a time most would describe the closest to a depression that we have had since the 1930's. This country has encountered so much sadness and tragedies in the past 25 years to last anyone a lifetime. Two space shuttle disasters, Oklahoma City, Hurricane Katrina, 9/11, as well as other terrorist attacks, not to mention other weather and natural disasters and Bill Buckner booting a ground ball in the 1986 World Series. This event Sunday night has given alot of families closure from an event almost 10 years old.
Like I said, this is my generation's celebration. My father's generation had the moon landing and my grandfather's would have to be the end of World War II (V-J Day). Our celebration has been long overdue and I hope my children won't have to wait as long as we did. My hat's off to our military. Thank you all and let's hope you will all be home soon.

You say that you're a worker, huh? All because you locked up with one guy, had a submission move applied by one guy and beat up by 2 others. Give me a f*cking break. Guess that makes Richard Belzer and John Stossel workers too. You are no where being a worker based on that. And all that is more than I've ever done in a match? You have NO F*CKING IDEA what I have done before in a match. You and all those other insipid DWA fans only know me for what they have seen me do in the past 3 years. You all forget that I started training in the business back in 1988, driving 3 nights a week and on Saturday & Sunday from my home in Brown County to Elmwood Place for 8 months then from that same home to Ironton,Ohio for another year-and-a-half on Thursdays and Saturdays. I did this because I was dedicated to making it in this business. Not to mention driving to Ironton, breaking down the ring and then to shows in Ohio and West Virginia and setting it back up again. I have paid my dues time and time again! I paid them almost everytime I started with a new group. I have spilled my blood, ruined my knees, my back, taken a fireball that has messed up my vision, ALL BECAUSE I AM DEDICATED TO THIS SPORT!!! I have done stupid gimmicks, been plastered with cupcakes BECAUSE I AM DEDICATED TO THIS BUSINESS!!! I have taken more bumps in 1 f'n match than you ever will in whatever you may want to call your career in this business. DON'T YOU EVER CALL YOURSELF A WORKER JUST BECAUSE YOU GOT ROUGHED UP A LITTLE BIT IN SOME 3 MINUTE SKIT!!! You may just get it a helluva lot worse by some guy who ACTUALLY IS A DAMN WORKER!
Pay your damn dues in this business first, then call yourself a worker when you have actually wrestled some matches. Until then, I am still who I am and I don't care who the hell you think you are and if you don't like that I got 3 words for ya........... LIVE WITH IT!!!!!

Sunday night while waiting to go to Dayton to pick up the soon-2-be ex from the airport, I attended a local Middletown promotion wrestling event. The promotion was called Slaughterhouse Wrestling Alliance and the show was held in an old school, which they renamed "The Slaughterhouse". Nice. They claim to promote "family-friendly" entertainment. With a name like "Slaughterhouse", doubt many families would go to it.
As for the show itself, the Main Event match was the best of the night with the only other decent one was a Triple-Threat match. Otherwise, the rest of the show was pretty much a waste. The Main event was a 3-team, 12-man match. Well, 11-man, 1-woman match. I will try to remember the names. One team consisted of The Shamrock Saints (Ryan O'Bryan & Miley O'Riley), "Hard Body" Rogers and Panther, who was accompanied by Lady Diamond. More on her later. The second team included Dave & Jake Crist, "Madness" (Sorry, didn't get his name) and TKO. The last team had 2 guys whose names I didn't catch along with Aaron Xtreme and Lil' Naughty. The match was fast paced, but still focused on the basics of wrestling. The Crist Bros. lived up to their hype as excellent wrestlers and as I have said before, Xtreme is one of the most exciting wrestlers in SW Ohio to watch. Madness was very powerful, often tossing the much-smaller O'Riley around like a rag doll. Now I have worked with O'Bryan, Naughty and Xtreme before and I knAll the competitors in this match were talented, with the exception of Rogers. He spent most of the match stumbling around the outside and was more of a distraction than anything.
This was Panther's second match of the night as he was in the afore-mentioned 3-way. Panther is talented and it is wasted in a federation such as this. He needs to find a more reputable fed and grow there if he wishes to move forward with his career.
Other than that, the rest of the show came nowhere near as good as those 2 matches. Too many large, slow guys stumbling over themselves. And most seemed as if they had no business inside the squared circle. There were a couple others who had some talent on the card though, but for the most part the rest of the show was bad. Rarely working the crowd, no real match work, no basics. Real sloppy work. Don't like my assessment, prove me wrong next time then.
There were a multitude of valets as well. Not that it was a bad thing, but too many cooks spoil the stew. Lady Diamond has evolved from the first time I saw her. She supported her man and did it without looking like a jezebel. Same as Wicked Angel. Very glamourous (tiara included), though quiet. Raven looked cute though maybe not evil as the name of her team would imply. There was another girl valeting with her but mostly walked around carrying one of the Tag Team belts. The last girl looked totally out of place there. Could use a makeover on "What Not To Wear" and valeted for one of the faces. Dressed as though she should have been with a heel though and looked very sloppy. The last was an old adversary of mine in DWA, Natasha Rivers. An apparent neck injury had her in neck brace and not moving much. Was not attired as usual either.
My suggestion to the promoter. If you want to be taken seriously, change the name of the federation to start with. The name Slaughterhouse is more likely to turn people off, especially if they have families. Both shows I have attended had appox. 75 fans each time. Don't be generic, but don't be gruesome either. Then, take the 10 guys from the Main Event (lose Rogers, he did nothing for the match) and add 2 or 3 of the best of the rest. Better to have 5-6 great matches than 9-10 matches with a couple good ones and the rest fillers with any guy who showed up with a pair of knee pads.
Follow that and and see where it takes you. That is all the free advice I can give. Until then I am at the top of the food chain and you are all what my food eats. I am The Colonel and if you're not down with that, I got 3 words for you...... LIVE WITH IT!!!!!!

Last night has come and gone and I am back home and Shomari is on his way until the next show. Even though I was defeated by Honky Tonk Man, last night was very successful for The VIP's. Even though the crowd booed me unmercifully and chanted their "Cap'n Crunch", "Colonel's old" and other chants, I think they realized that I will not roll over for anyone. Trice fought valiantly against Shomari, even knocking the big guy off his feet more than once. But in the end, the "King of the Congo" prevailed and got his hand raised. Afterward, I came back out and issued the challenge to anyone in the back. And it was Honky Tonk Man who accepted. And I will say this, even though I lost, to be able to have the chance to wrestle someone who has had the career this man had, is an honor to say the least. And hopefully one day our paths will cross again and I will face him one more. And that day I promise that it will be MY hand getting raised in victory. But until then just remember, Dynasties fall, Empires crumble, but a VIP will always live to party on another night. And if you're not down with that, I have 3 words for you............ LIVE WITH IT!!!!!
