JONATHAN JAMES FISHER

Championship gold has surrounded Fisher almost his entire career. In
his early years with Nationwide Championship Wrestling (1989-91) to
present-day Dynamic Wrestling Alliance, titles have always been within
his sights. He has won titles, managed wrestlers to titles and trained
those who won titles. He was a multi-time NCW Tag Team Champion
(w/Savage Renegade, The Wanderer), Tri-State Championship Wrestling
Heavyweight Champion, WV Championship Wrestling Canadian Heavyweight
Champion and one-half of the Wild Championship Wrestling Tag Team
Champions (w/Buddha Master). James has been on cards with some of the
biggest names in the sport; Jimmy Valiant, Wahoo McDaniel, Abyss, Ivan
Koloff and Tommy Rich to name a few. His debut match, under the name
MadDog Fisher, was a loss at the VFW in Elmwood Place,OH against
"Flyin" Brian Pillman. Came close on many occasions to winning the NCW
Heavyweight title, including during a bloody Dog-Collar Match versus
L.A. WildOne in Ironton,OH. Defended his TSCW title against former SMW
standout Mark "Killer" Kyle that ended in a DQ victory for Fisher. Of
all the venues that he has performed in, Fisher counts the National
Guard Armory in Ashland,KY as his favorite. "The crowds there were
great. Crowds always between 250-500. Got some of my best paydays in
that building. Only dark spot was getting hit in the face with a
fireball from my nemesis, 'Wild' Wayne Wallace." Fisher left the sport
in 1996 due to injuries and other personal problems but re-emerged in
2006 with the Northern Wrestling Federation as a minion within the
Weird Science faction. There he helped Dr. Winkelman win the Tri-State
title his first night. It was there he met Brett Michaels and they
forged a friendship that still stands today. When Michaels was in
talks with the DWA, he brought in Double J as his manager. Jonathan
has even led The Showcase to a DWA title reign. Even today, Fisher will
still put on the tights and wrestle as well as manage and has had
title shots as an active competitor. The future bodes very well for Double J.

THE SHOWCASE BRETT MICHAELS

The former DWA & Classic Champion has been down many roads in his 15+
years in the business. A mainstay in the Cincinnati area, Michaels is
no stranger to championship gold. He has been a champion everywhere he
has went and his experience led him to titles in Dynamic Wrestling
Alliance and DWA Classic. In the Northern wrestling Federation (NWF),
Brett was a multiple-time NWF Heavyweight Champion, multiple-time NWF
Tag Team Champion, Tri-State Champion and one-half of the Bonekrusher
Tag Team Champions. He moved to Intense Wrestling Inc. (IWI) and won
the IWI Heavyweight Championship before moving back to the NWF. This
is where he first met Jonathan. When the Dynamic Wrestling Alliance
was formed in the summer of 2008, Michaels was one of the first
talents signed and after taking on Fisher as his manager, he was
an instant contender to the title. Michaels and Double J were even
in the Triple Threat Match to crown the inaugural DWA Tag Team
Champions. He eventually won the DWA title in March of 2009 in an
Alabama Strap Match. The reign was short-lived as he lost the title
back three weeks later. Tensions grew tight between Michaels and Double J
and they all came to a head at the Hamilton County Fair when Brett
fired James. They would reconcile and team up again. The success came
back as The Showcase found himself the Classic Champion after a
grueling match in Sayler Park. He would hold the title for almost five
months when the DWA dropped Classic as an affiliate. Fisher informed
the media and the new owners of the promotion the next day that he and
Michaels were leaving and vacating the Classic title due to their lack
of confidence with the new management. They resumed their schedule
with the DWA and since then, Showcase has had some high-profile
matches with WWE Legends Demolition Ax and Brutus "The Barber"
Beefcake. The future looks bright for The Showcase.
